Sandbox and production
Sandbox and Production are independent billing workspaces inside the same Usagey organization.

The API key selects the workspace. A sandbox key cannot read or write production billing data, even if customer external IDs are identical.
Promotion
Promotion copies supported catalog configuration from Sandbox to Production. It does not copy usage events, balances, customer transactions, or provider credentials.
Verify before promotion
Confirm currencies, tax rates, quotas, overage policies, and provider mode before promoting a catalog.
